Instalasi Linux Debian

Langkah-langkah dalam menginstalasi linux Debian, yaitu sebagai berikut:

1. Pastikan PC anda sudah menyala.
2. Masuklah pada system BIOS,kemudian setting biosnya,booting pertama pada CDROM setelah itu simpan dan keluarlah dari system bios.
3. Masukkan CD instalernya.
4. Setelah itu tunggu beberapa saat kemudian akan muncul sebuah tampilan yang berbunyi “Press F1 for help and Enter to boot” dan selanjutnya tekanlah Enter.
5. Kemudian pada Choose language,pilihlah Indonesia dan tekan Enter.
6. Dan pada Select a keyboard layout pilihlah English & tekan Enter.
7. Selanjutnya akan muncul tampilan Detecting hardware tekan Enter.
8. Setelah itu beberapa saat akan muncul Scanning CDROM dan tunggulah prosesnya.
9. Setelah prosesnya selesai maka akan muncul Loading additional components dan tunggulah prosesnya.
10. Setelah prosesnya selesai maka akan muncul Detecting Network disusul dengan Configuring the network with DHCP.dan klik continue,setelah itu pilih Donot configure the network at this time dan tekan Enter.
11. Maka akan muncul perintah yang akan menyuruh anda untuk menuliskan Hostname pada computer anda dan setelah ditulis maka klik continue.
12. Kemudian akan muncul tulisan “Starting up the partitioner”,dibawahnya ada tulisan “Partition disk” dan pada perintah partitioning method pilihlah Quided use entire disk dan tekan Enter.
13. kemudian untuk membuat partisi baru, pilih Select disk to partition pada merk harddisknyamisalnya merknya:IDE 2 master -6,5 GB Fujitsu MPD3064 AT tekan Enter.
14. Maka akan muncul Partitioning Scheme pilihlah All files in one partition liecomended for new users dan selanjutnya tekan Enter.Kemudian akan muncul Guided partition dan tekanlah Enter. Pada Partition disk terdapat beberapa partisi yang telah ada,untuk menggantinya kliklah pada partisi yang telah ada kemudian tekan Enter. setelah itu pilih Delete the partition setelah berhasil dihapus partisi yabg lama kemudian pada How to use this free space pilih Create a new partition maka akan muncul new partition size dan tuliskan berapa angka yang mau diubah setelah itu tekan Enter dan kemudian pada Tyoe for the new partition pilihlah primary dan tekan Enter. Setelah itu muncul location for the new partition pilih End kemudian enter. Pada tulisan Mount point for this partition pilih Home kemudian User home directories dan tekan Enter. Pada bootable flag pilih off kemudianpilih Done setting up partition dan tekan Enter maka akan kembali ke merk harddisknya dan tekanlah Enter. Setelah itu pilih Finish partitioning and write changes to disk dan tekan Enter. Pada Write the changes to disk pilih Yes maka akan muncul Partitions formatting dan tunggulah prosesnya.
15. Setelah prosesnya selesai maka akan muncul Configure time zone pada Select your time zone pilihlah Jakarta dan tekan Enter.
16. Setelahnya akan muncul Setting up the clock kemudian muncul Set up users and passwords, pada Root password tulislah password and dan tekan continue dan pada Re enter password to verify tulis kembali password and dan tekan continue.
17. Maka akan muncul Full name for the new user isikan dan kemudian klik continue, pada Username for your account isikan dan klik continue, pada Choose a password for the new user isikan kemudian klik continue dan pada Re enter password to verify isikan kemudian klik continue.
18. Setelah itu akan muncul Installing the base system tunggulah prosesnya sampai selesai.
19. Dan pada Kernel to install pilihlah Linux-image-2.6-686 dan tekan Enter maka proses dari installing the base system akan berjalan lagi.
20. kemudian akan muncul Configuring apt setelahnya muncul Configuring the package manager disini ada pilihan use a network mirror tekan no kemudian klik continue.
21. Pada Select and Install Software terdapat pilihan Configuring Popularity contest dan pada participate in the package usage survey pilih Yes kemudian akan muncul Select and install software pada software selection pilih Desktop environment dan standard system kemudian klik continue maka akan kembali ke proses select and install software.
22. kemudian akan muncul Installing Grub boot loader dan disusul dengan Install the Grub boot loader on a harddisk pada pilihan install the GRUb boot loader to the master boot record pilih
23. kemudian akan muncul Installing Grub boot loader dan disusul dengan Install the Grub boot loader on a harddisk pada pilihan install the GRUb boot loader to the master boot record pilih Yes maka prosesnya akan berjalan kembali.
24. Setelah proses dari Install the GRUB boot loader to the master boot record selesai maka muncul tulisan Finishing the installation dan muncul Installation complete dan prosesnyapun telah selesai. Untuk menambahkan software2 tambahan terlebih dahulu installah CD debian ke2-8.
